What is Child Abuse?

“Humiliation, beatings, deception, mockery, and neglect are abuses that deeply wound the child, even if these wounds are not immediately visible. These traumas often manifest themselves in adulthood, where the abused child can become an abuser themselves, perpetuating a cycle of violence that affects not only families, but also society as a whole. This vicious cycle is explained by the fact that violent parents have themselves suffered violence, which they unknowingly reproduce, thinking they are acting “out of love.” Alice Miller

A book by Brigitte Oriol

After all we've done for you!

“I wrote this book because I never had the opportunity to find one that addressed this topic. – What remains of the relationship with parents when, as children, we have been neglected by their ignorance or their own family heritage? – What can these parents do when they realize, in the light of current knowledge in education, that they have not been able to meet the emotional needs of their child, whose wounds are still visible today? To avoid further compromising the bond that binds them, this book can answer questions that many of us ask ourselves. Is there a happy outcome to what has weakened or damaged the relationship in the past?” Brigitte ORIOL
